Ideas for disguising a small cctv camera for front of my house?

cctv

I want to instal one to cover the front door of my terraced house, there is no path as door situated directly on pavement. I have a white upvc door with a small glass window, no spy hole, one window downstairs and two upstairs at front. I dont want the camera visible. Them wall lamps with built in cctv are no good, it would be too obvious as a lamppost right outside. Suggestions?

you need a fisheye pinhole camera installed over the door . This will provide the best view of someone at the door, as placing it left or right of the door will only give you a profile shot. Your second option is a pinhole camera that you will install in the door itself. The only issue with this is it will have to be self contained :wireless with a bettery. these are availale but frightfully expensive.
    I reccomend:
Speaking from the point of view of an individual who has used such devices NOT available to the GP, what you CAN get is worth the money and if installed correctly, undetectable to any save those who reallllly know what to look for.

how about hiding it in a landscape light

Could you possibly conceal it higher up the wall in one of those dummy house alarm boxes.

These can be fitted up out of reach, and barely get a second glance by passers by.

It is illegal to put up a camera like this though without putting clear notification stickers up to warn people that they are being filmed.

    Hope that helps.

This sounds strange but at a client at upscale town in northern VA used an antique bird house which was on a post next to the house to disquise his. most of us didn’t know it was there until he pointed it out. the post was iron and the wiring hung inside the pipe the opening was angle in a way that the lense was where the opening was and it was fixed right at the door entrance to allow for clear view of the entryway. Hope this helps
