Peper Spray


Peper spray is illegal for use by civilians in many countries (including the UK) but is used by many police forces. Also known as an OC or capsicum spray, pepper spray is a very effective inflammatory substance that can easily irritate the eyes and create pain, temporary sightlessness, and tears. Pepper spray is an organic based substance that comes from cayenne peppers. The atomizer will commonly come in canister form, which his frequently small enough to be packed in your pocket or in a womans handbag.

Once the spray is employed it will instantly result in dilating of the capillaries in the eyes, creating temporary sightlessness, chocking, coughing, and tearing of the eyes. The spray will also create an exceedingly acute burning on the skin and result in sickness. The mucous membranes will also begin to swell, making catching one’s breath very hard. The spray is really painful, often resulting in the person who was sprayed to double up and fall to the floor. It causes temporary incapacitation, as a result of the fact that the person will not be able to catch their breath or see properly.

Frequently the spray is employed in controlling disturbancies or in self-protection situations. Pepper spray is very convenient to have in violent assault situations, as a violent assault occurs every few seconds in the world. Pepper spray is better to use than guns, knives or other weapons. It is also non deadly, although there have been rare instances where pepper spray has resulted in death. In these instances however, there were pre existing medical circumstances present that the spray worsened  leading to death.

Although the spray is really effective with many assailants, it may not have a great deal of an effect on persons who are on drugs, drunk, or already hysterical. With these characters, you may need to give them a few quick sprays to the face to get the right outcome. The general effect on the duration of the spray will all hinge upon the strength of the pepper spray. Most pepper spray results will last anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour.

If legal in your country pepper spray is good to have around your household, or to carry with you at all times. If a burglar breaks into your property while you are there, you patently want something to protect yourself with. A can of pepper spray is very effective, and can easily stop somebody from assaulting you. All it takes is a direct spray to the eyes.

Although it is very effective to have with you, pepper spray is illegal to have in some countries, such as the United Kingdom. In the U.S.A. however, there are some regions that expect you to have a license before you can lawfully carry pepper spray. Before you purchase some pepper spray, you should always ensure that you can legally carry it in the region you live in.
